Who do you want to become?

Interview with Simon Alexander Ong, an award-winning personal development entrepreneur and coach.

In this interview, we reflect on who we are...

Answering the question of who we are is the longest journey for all of us. In order to find the answer, we need to reflect on who we are now and who we want to become…

On a personal level such as in your relationships, lifestyle and profession… What are your passions, and can you convert them into a business?

Reflections & exercises:

The first step is to accept who you are in this moment. Do you feel enough right now?

To help you answer this, you could write down 5 words that make you feel you are worthy.

Anchoring yourself in the present moment is going to help you accept the version of you now.

And then the next step is to develop patience; patience is a great virtue.

Being more patient at work, for instance, will help you become more patient in your quest to finding out who you are…

Finally, you should engage in visualisation. Bring to mind the highest version of yourself that you want to develop into.

When you have a moment, close your eyes, wake up, meditate for 10 minutes, and visualise blooming into your ideal self.

Dedicating just 17 seconds to this everyday can help you move closer to your goals.

In the end, we need to find the right balance and focus on our goals without suppressing our happiness or the person we are right now…
